Each rider is called upon to fulfill realistic goals of horsemanship, sportsmanship and showmanship,
while learning to ride and school horses in a thinking, disciplined manner.
Teresa Groesbeck brings expertise in dressage, eventing and hunters to the Cedarhaven partnership.
Teresa has an enthusiasm few possess, and the well-being of her horses is her number one priority.
Teresa's 25 years of practical experience working with livestock is supported and strengthened by
her formal education, which includes a degree in Animal Husbandry from CSU Fresno.
She has benefited from extensive schooling under instructors Eicke Von Veltheim, Jack Le Goff and
Jutta Heinsohn.
Jim Groesbeck's 20 years of schooling horses for almost any use imaginable has been highlighted by qualifying
Regional, World and National Championship caliber horses in Working Cow and Reining.
Jim is an admirer of
skilled horsemen such as Ray Hunt, Tom Dorrance and Bobby Ingersoll -- and he continues to get help
whenever he can, because he believes that "you can't learn in a vacuum."
Teresa thinks Jim teaches their students to train horses, to perfect the horse and the rider's
handling of the horse, and teaches them how to school the horse.
Jim thinks Teresa teaches their students the correct position and how to make themselves
better riders, whether or not they're sitting on a horse that Jim trained.
